Vehicle standards & certification

THE OBJECTIVE IN CREATING THESE VOLUNTARY STANDARDS IS TO ENSURE THAT SAFETY ENHANCING EQUIPMENT AND DEVICES ARE FITTED ON ALL VEHICLES USED FOR TRANSPORTING THE GOODS AND FREIGHT OF COMPANIES THAT HAVE SIGNED ON TO THE DRIVE SAFE INDIA INDUSTRRY CODE.

THE KIND OF SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND DEVICES THAT COULD BE REQUIRED INCLUDE AIR BAGS, ALCO LOCKS, SPEED GOVERNORS, AND IN-VEHILCE MONITORING DEVICES.

THE VEHICLES WILL ALSO BE CERTIFIED AND PERIODICALLY REQUIRED TO UNDERGO RECERTIFICATION TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH THE INDUSTRY CODE.
